We are a team of experienced researchers at the School of Social Sciences at Bangor University in Wales, with expertise in qualitative and mixed method research, social care and health, applied research, arts and humanities, computer science and bilingual research and reporting.

Leah Mc Laughlin

I am the full time researcher working on this Organ Donation Project. I work at the intersection between arts and social sciences and I have experience in qualitative and mixed method research. I am based at the Wales Kidney Research Unit, Cardiff. If you have any experience of the new way of consenting to organ donation in Wales I would very much like to hear your story. Jo Mitchell

I am an experienced project administrator. Up until February 2015, I worked with Professor Nigel John in managing the Advanced Medical Imaging and Visualization Unit – a PAN Wales collaboration between the universities of Bangor, Cardiff, Swansea and Aberystwyth. The unit’s team of researchers developed medical imaging technologies for the NHS in Wales. I have also assisted the Director of Estates and Facilities on the Pontio project – Bangor University’s new Arts and Innovation centre.

Carol Williams

I am a part-time Research Project Support Officer working on the Organ Donation Project. I am a Welsh speaker and can carry out interviews with family members in both English and Welsh. I moved to London in 1986 and worked for London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University College of London in their Research Grants Department. When I returned to live on Anglesey, I went on to qualify as a nurse and worked as a District Nurse and Occupational Health Nurse. I also run my own business.
